Sharif A. El Akhdar

Founder and CEO of LimeVest Partners

Mr. El Akhdar founded LimeVest Partners, a Egypt-focused healthcare investor in 2017. He is the CEO and a member of the investment committee. He is responsible for fundraising, deal sourcing, origination and exit strategies with a focus on the overall firm management and strategy. Mr. El Akhdar was previously a Partner with BPE Partners (formerly Beltone Private Equity) since 2008 where he led the firm’s team building efforts and was responsible for fundraising, deal sourcing and origination, operational oversight of portfolio companies, and exit strategies. He led BPE Partners’ investments in Madinet Nasr Housing and Development, Total Egypt, PGESCo, and Pickalbatros. Mr. El Akhdar is a board member of the Housing and Development Bank (Ticker: HDBK.CA) (2020-Current), Alexandria New Medical Center (Ticker: AMES.CA) (2022-Current), Global Auto SAE (2022-Current), Taamir Investment Holding Company (2021-Current), Egyptian Resorts Company (2022-Current), NSA Diagnostics (2020-Current), Dar Al Teb for Medical Services (2018-Currrent), Eye Speciality Centre (2019-Current), ArtPharma for Pharmaceutical Products (2021-Current). He also held board memberships of BPE Partners (2008-2016), Madinet Nasr Housing and Development (Ticker: MNHD.CA) (2008-2016), Total Egypt (2013-2016), Pickalbatros Holding and Arabiya for Investments (2009-2012), Metalart (2008-2016), and Arabiya for Investments (Ticker: AIND.CA) (2015-2016) Prior to joining BPE Partners, Mr. El Akhdar was at American Capital Strategies, one of the largest US publicly-traded alternative asset managers. He started his career as a management consultant with Abt Associates. Mr. El Akhdar received his MSc in Finance from the George Washington University School of Business and his BA in Accounting and Economics from the American University in Cairo.
