Petronela Halamova

Communication Expert & Head of Marketing at DASATO

Petronela Halamová acts as a Head of Marketing at DASATO, a Slovak educational NGO which focuses on informal education. Petronela has a vast experience from marketing and corporate as well as institutional communication. She worked as a marketing and PR manager for IPM Group and InoBat, Slovak companies focusing on the development and production of electric vehicles. Later on, she worked and later led the strategic communication unit of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, where she dedicated her job to fight against disinformation. Petronela has recently finished her role in a presidential campaign team of Ivan Korčok, where she acted as a head of social media and community. Petronela studied law at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and international relations and environmental technologies at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna. During her studies, she engaged in volunteer activities in the field of youth work and completed several professional internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Slovak Embassy in Belgrade, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Vienna. She also represented the youth as a Slovak Youth delegate to the EU. Petronela is fluent in English and German and has been trying unsuccessfully to learn Arabic for several years. She is a bookworm and travel lover.
