Margarita Kyprianou has over 14 years of experience working across the public sector, academia, and business to support innovation and entrepreneurship in Cyprus. She currently works as the Innovation Program & Portfolio Manager at Cyprus Seeds, a non-profit initiative that helps research teams from Cypriot universities and research centers move their ideas closer to the market through funding, mentoring, training, and networking opportunities.
Before joining Cyprus Seeds, Margarita spent over six years at PwC Cyprus, where she led and contributed to high-impact EU and national projects for the public sector. Her portfolio includes key national strategies such as Cyprus’s Recovery & Resilience Plan, the country’s long-term economic strategy, the national digital strategy, and the Smart Factories in New EU Member States initiative. She also played a pivotal role in managing the successful submission of public procurement proposals.
Earlier in her career, Margarita worked in business incubation, SME funding consultancy, digital marketing, and intrapreneurship program development for public organizations, gaining practical experience in project development and stakeholder engagement. This cross-sector background supports her current work encouraging academic entrepreneurship and contributing to national innovation efforts.
