Under his leadership, the payments platform has expanded to support over 250 localized payment methods and supporting more than 100 currencies, enabling seamless and secure transactions for players around the world. His focus on continuous innovation ensures Wargaming stays at the forefront of payment technologies and fraud prevention methodologies. Makis plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and revenue optimization across Wargaming’s extensive portfolio, which includes flagship titles like World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Tanks Blitz. With a user base exceeding 200 million players and operations in numerous global markets, his work significantly contributes to the company’s ability to scale while delivering excellent player experiences. An accomplished academic and finance professional, Makis holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
