Louiza Sophocleous is a biomedical engineer with a PhD in Electrical Engineering and a strong background in applied mathematics and physics. An awarded science communicator and an invited speaker in various science communication events and activities.
In 2019, she co-founded The Mighty Kitchen (TMK) in an effort to use her skill set to positively impact the food system, a food technology company making delicious, fibrous, plant-based meat alternative products.
As the Chief Technology Officer of TMK, she plays a pivotal role in leveraging technology to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
The company is now multi-award winning across 4 markets, picking up awards such as the Innovation award for the Manufacturing Sector in Cyprus, and the International Food Expo’s Big Business Break competition in the UK.
