Eddy Nassar, a Beirut-born Cypriot innovator, has spent 24 years shaping Cyprus’ hospitality and entertainment scene with Columbia Shipmanagement & Columbia Restaurants. Armed with a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from the State University of New York, Eddy joined Columbia Shipmanagement in 2001 as an IT Engineer. There, he refinedstructure and problem-solving, balancing his day job with his passion as a DJ—a craft that funded his degree and fuelled his love for music. In 2005, Eddy embraced adventure as an IT Officer on the Thomson Celebration cruise ship, gaining lifelong friends and a global outlook. By 2008, as Entertainment Manager at 7 Seas in Limassol’s Columbia Plaza, he brought world-class jazz, earning the venue “Best International Live Music” accolades. Promoted to 7 Seas Manager in 2011, he revolutionized nightlife with iconic events. In 2018, as General Manager of Columbia Beach, Eddy created a landmark, winning “Best New Venue” and “Best Beach Bar” for two years. As Managing Director of Columbia Restaurants in 2021, he launched Columbia Pier and Columbia Sun. A drummer-turned-DJ, Eddy lives by the “Field of Dreams” motto: “If you build it, he will come.” His passion for creating concepts with love has driven his success. Now, as President and CEO of WIBA Mediterranean, Eddy is set to host the prestigious World Influencer and Blogger Awards in Cyprus on August 11, 2025, at Limassol’s Four Seasons. With music in his soul, Eddy continues to inspire.
