Andreas Neocleous is the first CEO of state-owned Cyta, Cyprus’ largest telecommunications organisation, to have been appointed from the private sector. He redefined the organisation’s vision and set it on a course of growth and evolution, which has since resulted in significant and consistent increase in revenue and profitability. Andreas led the Organisation’s internal transformation project, championing the implementation of a goal-based performance management and appraisal system. Under his leadership Cyta pivoted successfully through the COVID-19 pandemic, effectively supporting households, businesses and all state services. He is the Chairman of Cyta subsidiaries Cytacom and Cyta Power. Before taking up his duties at Cyta, he had served as Director of Business and Customer Experience at MTN Cyprus. Previous to that, he was Commercial Manager at Ericsson and Senior Technology Analyst at Goldman Sachs in London and New York. Through the course of his career, he has gained deep knowledge and experience in issues relating to leadership, reform, modernisation and corporate culture transformation. Andreas has a PhD in Telecommunications & Digital Signal Processing and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, both from Imperial College, University of London.
